News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has come to light from the Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Office in R. Udayagiri of Gajapati district of Odisha. Here a peon is accused of making a newly appointed junior engineer drink urine instead of water. This incident has created a sensation in the entire area.

The junior engineer had joined the RWSS office on 22 July itself

Actually, this incident happened on the night of 23rd July. Junior engineer Sachin Gowda asked for water after having dinner. Siba Narayan Nayak, a peon working in the office, brought him water in a steel bottle.

As soon as Sachin drank a few sips, he felt a strange taste. He suddenly started feeling uneasy. He immediately asked two other office employees, Ghana and Surya, to taste the water. Both of them also confirmed the smell and taste disturbance, which further deepened the suspicion. The biggest thing is that the junior engineer had joined the RWSS office in R. Udaygiri on July 22 itself.

Urine confirmed after lab test

A sample of the suspicious object was sent for testing. The initial lab report confirmed 2.0 PPM ammonia, indicating the possibility of the presence of urine. The sample has now been sent to a high-level testing laboratory in Paralakhemundi for definitive results. Sachin Gowda's health deteriorated after the incident. He is currently undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur.

The peon denied the allegations

The arrested peon Siba Narayan Nayak has denied the allegations. He said, “I gave the bottle with food. I don't know what happened after that. I have not done anything wrong. I leave everything to God. On the complaint of Sachin Gowda, R. Udayagiri police arrested Siba Narayan Nayak.

The department has also started an investigation

This matter has now reached the Odisha Water Resources Directorate. The department has also started investigating the matter. This incident has raised many questions on the safety and discipline of work in government offices. Especially why such a serious act was done with a new employee and what was the real intention behind it. The truth will be fully revealed only after the investigation report comes.
