The disaster caused by heavy rains has caused devastation in many states. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah spoke to the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh on Friday.
Amit Shah has assured them of all possible help. Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote on Twitter on Friday that he spoke to the Chief Ministers of Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh in view of heavy rains in various parts of the country.

He further informed that sufficient NDRF teams have been deployed in these states for the needy people and more teams can be sent if required. All possible help has been assured by the central government.
CM Dhami gave information about the conversation with the Home Minister
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami gave information about his conversation with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He wrote on Twitter that Amit Shah took detailed information about the situation of heavy rains in various disaster-sensitive areas of the state including Kedarnath Dham through telephone.
Keeping in mind the gravity of the situation, he assured that the Central government's emergency relief agencies NDRF, ITBP are being deployed promptly so that the Chardham Yatra is not disrupted and pilgrims do not face any inconvenience in movement.
Flood like situation due to heavy rain
He further said that he has also assured to provide all possible assistance while keeping a constant vigil in other sensitive districts of the state. Heavy rains have occurred in many parts of northern and western India, leading to flood-like situation, landslides and damage to infrastructure. NDRF teams are already deployed in the affected areas to assist in rescue and relief operations.
Heavy rain causes havoc in Himachal
Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh has been particularly badly affected due to cloudburst and flash floods. Two municipal areas of Mandi, Karsog and Dharampur, have suffered heavy damage due to heavy rains.
