News Topical, Digital Desk : After a three-year-old son saw his mother in a compromising position with her boyfriend, she killed him by throwing him from the roof of a two-story house. The incident occurred on April 28, 2023, in the Thatipur police station area of ​​Gwalior district.

The truth about her son's death remained hidden, but according to the mother, her son's recurring dreams forced her to admit the truth. After this, the child's constable father, taking his wife into confidence, made a video, collected evidence, and gave it to the police. Now, based on that circumstantial evidence, the Sessions Court on Saturday sentenced the murderous mother to life imprisonment.

However, the court acquitted her lover due to lack of evidence. According to the prosecution, Jyoti Rathore, convicted of murdering her son, was on the terrace with her neighbor, Uday Indoulia, at the time of the incident. Meanwhile, her three-year-old son, Sunny alias Jatin, reached the terrace and saw her mother in an objectionable position with her lover. Fearing exposure, Jyoti threw her son from the roof of the two-story house.

The father considered it an accident

The child suffered serious head injuries from the fall. He died the next day while undergoing treatment at the hospital. The deceased's father, Police Constable Dhyan Singh, initially considered it an accident.

The woman's mental condition began to deteriorate

After her son's death, Jyoti's mental condition began to deteriorate. She would wake up in the middle of the night in a panic and remain terrified. Her husband assumed she was in shock over her son's death, but despite medical treatment, her condition did not improve.

Later, she told her husband that she saw her dead son in her dreams. She believed his spirit was wandering, and out of fear, she confessed one day. She said the child had seen her and her lover together on the roof. Fearing he might tell someone, she threw him off the roof.
