News Topical, Digital Desk : In California, USA, 29-year-old Indian-origin man Varun Suresh stabbed 71-year-old sex offender David Brimmer to death. Police described the attack as "targeted" and arrested Suresh at the scene.

Suresh confessed that he had been intending to kill sex offenders for a long time as they harm children and such people have no right to live.

Brimmer had served nine years in prison for child sexual abuse in 1995. Suresh targeted him through California's Megan's Law database. There was no prior acquaintance between the two. Suresh, posing as a CPA (Certified Public Accountant), arrived at Brimmer's home, shook hands, and confirmed he was meeting the right person.

'Repent...'

When Brimmer tried to escape and unsuccessfully called for help, he ran into a neighbor's garage and kitchen two blocks away. Suresh chased him, stabbed him in the throat, and demanded he be sorry. As Brimmer tried to crawl away, Suresh slit his throat.

Police found screenshots of several profiles from the Megan's Law website on Suresh's phone, including one of Brimmer taken 45 minutes before the attack.

Told the murder very funny

Suresh told police he chose Brimmer because of his age and vulnerability and described the murder as a lot of fun. He said he didn't intend to escape and that if the police didn't come, he would call them himself. He also said, "Everyone hates pedophiles, so it should be okay."
