News Topical, Digital Desk : Haryana News: A case of fraud involving the mother of a private school owner in Panchkula, Haryana, has come to light. The accused forged a power of attorney in the woman's name and executed a land deal. The Pinjore police station has named six people, including the tehsildar, in the case. The police are currently investigating the matter.

Aadhaar card misused

Deepak, a resident of Vishwakarma Colony in Pinjore, Panchkula, told the police in his complaint that his mother, Sushila, had a forged power of attorney created in the Ludhiana tehsil of Punjab by misusing her Aadhaar card. Using this fake document, the accused also negotiated a deal for approximately 12 acres of his land. He learned of the matter when the land buyers contacted him.

Conspiracy hatched by introducing another woman

According to the victim, Deepak, the entire scheme was orchestrated by Pawan Kumar, a resident of Karnal. Pawan, along with a woman, presented him with a forged power of attorney before Ludhiana East Sub-Registrar Sukhjit Pal Singh. Lawyer Anil Chawla verified the documents, while Rajendra Kumar served as a witness. Subsequently, Tehsildar Sukhjit Pal Singh issued the power of attorney. The accused conspired to sell the land using this document.

Police registered a case, investigation underway

PSI Sukhbir Singh, investigating officer at the Pinjore police station in Panchkula, said that based on the victim's complaint, a case has been registered under sections 316(2), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2), and 61(2) of the Indian Penal Code, 2023. Police said the investigation is ongoing and the roles of all the accused are being thoroughly investigated.
