News Topical, Digital Desk : A very serious and worrying incident has emerged from a primary school in Junpat village, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, raising serious questions about the school's administration and education system. A video that has gone viral on social media shows young children lifting bricks, carrying materials, and working as laborers. The video, reportedly filmed by a young man from the village, has sparked outrage among villagers and parents.
Local residents say that despite the school having a peon, children are forced to perform tasks like cleaning, carrying goods, and other menial tasks. According to villagers, this isn't the first time such conditions have been seen at the school, but now that the video has gone viral, the administration's negligence is being exposed. They say this not only hinders the children's education but is also extremely detrimental to their physical and mental health.
Strong resentment among parents
The video has sparked widespread outrage among parents. They allege that the school administration and principal have neglected their responsibilities and blatantly violated children's rights.
The Child Rights Protection Act, the Right to Education (RTE) Act, and school safety standards clearly prohibit any form of manual labor by children. Despite this, the school's continued existence reflects a serious failure of the education system.
Demand for concrete action from the education department
The villagers have demanded that the district administration and the Basic Education Department take immediate and strict action against the employees seen in the video. They also demand that the school ensure a safe, clean, and educational environment for children.
When contacted, the Basic Education Officer (BSA) stated that he had not received any such complaint. However, he assured that the authenticity of the video would be immediately investigated. The BSA clearly stated that if any employee is found guilty, strict action will be taken against them. He added that any interference with the future of children will not be tolerated.
This case is once again raising serious questions about the functioning of the education department and the safety of children in schools. Villagers and parents are now closely monitoring administrative action to see how effectively steps are taken to protect children's rights.
