News Topical, Digital Desk : Nakuul Mehta, who made his mark in TV serials, is now prioritizing selective work on digital platforms. He recently appeared in the web series Space Jane: Chandrayaan.

There was a lot to learn in the beginning

Nakul, who has been active in acting for nearly two decades, now sees himself at a stage where working every day isn't necessary. He says, "It was important to keep working consistently at the beginning of your career, because at that time you had less experience and your energy and curiosity were at their peak."

To channel that energy effectively, it's essential to work. Only by working hard can you learn from more experienced and better artists. I had this opportunity early in my career.

It is important to balance work and family

Nakuul says, “I started my career with the TV serial Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara. That show ran for nearly three years, and I learned a lot from going to set every day and playing my role. This also brought a sense of comfort and maturity to my acting. Now, I'm at a stage in my life where I have a family and two children. I choose my work more carefully. It's very important for me to maintain a balance between work and personal life.”

He says, "If I'm going to be away from my family for work, it should be given that much importance. I don't have to work every day anymore. I've earned this little privilege in life. I have a little financial freedom. So now I can choose who I associate with and work with."

The fear of failure is within everyone.

Regarding the fear of failure in life, Nakul says, "Who doesn't fear failure? If a person isn't afraid of failing in something, then perhaps it doesn't hold as much importance to them. I too am always afraid of failure."

However, now, after so many years in the industry, I've learned to channel that fear into action. Instead of dwelling on the possibility of failure, I try to think that if I do the work with honesty and integrity, it will reach people. If it does, it will receive love. That love comes not just from my work, but from everyone who worked on the project.
