According to provisional data from NSE, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) bought shares worth Rs 1009.71 crore in the Indian stock market on Friday. While DIIs bought shares worth Rs 9,342.48 crore.
According to NSE data, during the trading session on Friday, FIIs bought shares worth Rs 15,208.43 crore while selling shares worth Rs 14,198.72 crore, making a net purchase of Rs 1,009.71 crore. On Friday, DIIs bought shares worth Rs 22,522.51 crore while selling shares worth Rs 13,180.03 crore, making a net purchase of Rs 9,342.48 crore.
How was the market today? The benchmark NSE Nifty 50 index closed 1 per cent higher at 25,003 during the week, while the BSE Sensex closed 747 points higher at 82,189 on Friday. The Nifty Bank index gained nearly 2 per cent during the week, closing at 56,578 on Friday. The Nifty Midcap 100 gained more than 3 per cent to reach 59,010. The Nifty realty index jumped 5 per cent on expectations of a recovery in housing demand, driven by a reduction in borrowing costs. Financials also jumped as the RBI said it would ease risks in unsecured loans and expressed confidence that the recent stress at Indusind Bank would ease soon. Shares of Indusind Bank closed 3 per cent higher.
