News Topical, Digital Desk : There was a stir after a large number of cobras and their babies were found in a garden near a hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. 19 cobras were found in the wood waste deposited in the garden, including a mother and 18 babies. Seeing such a large number of snakes together created an atmosphere of fear among the people. Later, the wildlife team rescued these snakes and left them safely in the forest area.

Wild Animal Rescue Center President Chaman Singh Chauhan said, “On Sunday, there is a hotel near Seva Sharan Pulia, the manager of that hotel informed us that a snake was seen in his garden. When we went there, the snake had gone inside the wood and some junk kept there. When we started removing the junk to find that snake, we found a baby snake. Then we found a second and a third baby. This sequence continued.”

18 children were safe with the cobra- Chaman Singh

He further told ANI, "In this way we caught 18 baby snakes and a big cobra together. The big thing was that for years we had been hearing that snakes eat their babies and we have also seen them eating many times, but this was the first time that a male cobra and all the babies were safe along with 18 babies. This was a big thing."

'These baby snakes are about two-three days old'

The head of the Wild Animal Rescue Center said, "We have rescued all the animals and left them safely in the forest area. I think these baby snakes are about two-three days old because they usually give birth in the month of July. I guess that these babies are after 15th July. There was a garden near the hotel and people had collected garbage here for a long time. Due to garbage, wood and soil, this place became the habitat of snakes. There is a river behind it, so we cannot even say how the snakes suddenly came there."

'Snakes were getting food from around the hotel'

He further expressed the possibility and said, "The snakes were getting food from the area around the hotel because there are rats there. The wood they had collected inside the garden is also a habitat for rats. So animals stay in such places for years. It is possible that after giving birth to babies, these snakes did not go to another place because they were getting food there. It is also possible that due to the availability of food, the cobra did not kill its babies."
