News Topical, Digital Desk : Singer Shreya Ghoshal has sung many songs with her melodious voice. Her name is always at the top of the list of popular singers in Hindi cinema. During a recent media interview, Shreya spoke openly about one of her cult songs, which was filmed 23 years ago on actress Bipasha Basu.
Shreya Ghoshal has stated that she was not fit to sing the song because she was only 18 years old at the time. Let's find out which song is being referred to here.
Shreya Ghoshal was uncomfortable with this song
After Lata Mangeshkar, Shreya Ghoshal is known as the Nightingale of Hindi cinema. Shreya, who has sung some truly magnificent songs throughout her singing career, recently discussed one of her superhit songs in an interview with ABP Network, which she found uncomfortable singing.
I feel like I was a misfit for the song Jaadu Hai Nasha from the film Jism. I wasn't the right choice to sing for Bipasha Basu. But it was a bold choice by music director M.M. Keerwani, who chose me for the song, as he is internationally renowned. I tried to be sensual because it didn't come naturally to me. I felt it needed a youthful rawness. I was only 18 at the time. I couldn't deliver it well. I thought of trying to sing it in Asha Bhosle style, but then I sang it in my own way.
It's worth noting that this song from the film Jism was filmed on John Abraham and Bipasha Basu, and featured intimate scenes. However, Shreya Ghoshal's vocals brought the song to life.
Received National Award for the first song
It's worth noting that the song "Jism Ka Jadoo Hai Nasha Hai..." was Shreya Ghoshal's second song of her career. She had previously made her singing debut in Hindi cinema with the song "Bairi Piya..." from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's all-time blockbuster film "Devdas," for which she won the National Film Award for Best Singer.
