
News Topical, Digital Desk : Eternal Zomato Q1 Results: Online food delivery company Zomato (Eternal) has released the results for the first quarter (April-June) of the financial year 2025-26. The company's profit decreased, but it has registered strong growth in income. Along with this, the company has also announced the formation of a new subsidiary named Blinkit Foods. Immediately after the release of the results, there was a big rise in the stock of Eternal. On Monday, the stock closed at Rs 277 per share with a gain of 7.5%. It was the fastest stock from Nifty.
Eternal's consolidated profit in the June quarter was Rs 25 crore. During the same quarter of the previous financial year, the company's profit was Rs 253 crore. During this period, the consolidated income of the company has increased from Rs 4206 crore to Rs 7167 crore.
During the June quarter, Eternal's operating profit i.e. EBITDA has come down from Rs 177 crore to Rs 115 crore. EBITDA margin has also come down from 4.2% to 1.6%. Along with the results, the company said that the income of quick commerce business i.e. Blinkit has increased from Rs 942 crore to Rs 2400 crore. Income from B2B business has increased from Rs 1212 crore to Rs 2295 crore.
Blinkit Foods Subsidiary Eternal has announced the formation of a new subsidiary named "Blinkit Foods" for its quick commerce unit Blinkit. This move is part of the strategy to further strengthen the quick commerce business, which was the mainstay of the company's revenue growth in this quarter.
Food Delivery Consolidated revenue of Eternal's food delivery business grew 17.7% to Rs 2,657 crore as compared to Rs 2,256 crore last year. This is a growth of 10% compared to Rs 2,409 crore in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25). Gross Order Value (GOV) grew 10% to Rs 10,769 crore as compared to Rs 9,778 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 9,264 crore in Q1 last year. Average Monthly Active Customers (MTCs) increased from 2.09 crore to 2.29 crore as compared to 2.03 crore last year.
Blinkit (Quick Commerce) Eternal's Quick Commerce unit Blinkit reported an EBITDA loss of Rs 162 crore in Q1 FY26, up from a loss of Rs 3 crore in Q1 last year. This is due to rapid dark store expansion. However, it is lower than the loss of Rs 178 crore in the previous quarter. Blinkit's revenue grew 155% to Rs 2,400 crore from Rs 942 crore last year and Rs 1,709 crore in the previous quarter. The GOV of this business stood at Rs 11,821 crore as against Rs 4,923 crore last year and Rs 9,421 crore in the previous quarter. The average order value (AOV) stood at Rs 669 as against Rs 665 in the previous quarter and Rs 625 last year. The number of dark stores grew to 1,544 from 639 last year, and monthly active users grew to 1.69 crore from 76 lakh.
Going Out (Dining) Eternal's Going Out business revenue declined 10% to Rs 207 crore from Rs 229 crore last year and Rs 95 crore in the previous quarter. GOV stood at Rs 2,370 crore from Rs 2,184 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 1,268 crore in the previous year. Hyperpure (B2B Supply) Eternal's B2B business Hyperpure revenue grew 89% to Rs 2,295 crore from Rs 1,212 crore last year and Rs 1,840 crore in the previous quarter.
