News Topical, Digital Desk : The Yogi government is increasingly leveraging technology to promote solar energy in Uttar Pradesh and effectively implement its schemes. In this regard, UPNEDA Director Indrajit Singh on Monday launched the www.pmsgy.upneda.co.in portal to monitor the "Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana." This portal is considered a major step towards ensuring transparency, speed, and accountability in the scheme's implementation.

The new portal facilitates real-time monitoring of all key stages of the scheme, including application, approval, solar plant installation, and payment. This will not only provide officials with accurate information on work progress, but also make it easier for beneficiaries to track the status of their applications.
Under the Yogi government's "digital governance" model, this initiative will help make government schemes more transparent and effective.

The central government also praised the UP model.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (Government of India) has also appreciated this model developed by UPNEDA. The Ministry has requested technical assistance from UPNEDA to develop a similar portal at the central level.

To this end, a special committee has been formed by Director Indrajit Singh, which will provide technical assistance to the central government. This initiative establishes Uttar Pradesh as a leading state in the field of renewable energy.

Uttar Pradesh's major achievement in solar energy

Under the leadership of the Yogi government, Uttar Pradesh has made significant progress under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana. More than 480,000 domestic rooftop solar plants have been installed in the state so far. This achievement not only places the state among the leading states in the country, but also marks a significant step towards achieving clean energy goals.

The government aims to realize the vision of "Solar for Every Home," providing affordable and clean energy to the common man. This ensures numerous benefits, including reduced electricity bills, environmental protection, and energy self-sufficiency.
