News Topical, Digital Desk : In protest against the opposition's conspiracy on Nari Shakti Vandan Act, in the 'Jan Akrosh Padyatra' in Lucknow on Tuesday, along with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath , Deputy Chief Ministers Brijesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya, Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh and Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary, thousands of women took to the streets and raised slogans against the Congress and the Samajwadi Party.

They all said in unison, "This bill was going to be passed in Parliament on April 17th, but the Congress and Samajwadi Party not only opposed it but also celebrated its defeat in the vote by clapping." They called it a violation of women's rights and said, "These parties will have to bear the brunt of women's anger in the 2027 elections. Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary even said that the Indi Alliance has now proven to be an anti-women alliance."

Opposition to the bill will have to be borne in the elections.

Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak said, "Today, the women power of the state is on the streets. Due to the conspiracy and narrow-mindedness of the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, the Nari Shakti Vandan Act has been stalled in Parliament. Today, the angry sisters of Uttar Pradesh are taking to the streets and exposing the Samajwadi Party and the Congress. These parties will have to suffer the consequences in the upcoming elections."

He said, "We all know very well that whenever the Samajwadi Party is in power in the state, goons and criminals openly harass sisters and daughters. That is why slogans like, 'Look, the SP's daughter is scared.' It is time for everyone to unite and make the SP and Congress realize the power of women. Let us become Maa Durga, Maa Kali, Maa Saraswati and teach the opposition a lesson."

We will ensure reservation for women: Keshav Prasad Maurya

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said, "The Samajwadi Party is going to be wiped out. Can anyone win the 2027 elections without women? If women are not given reservation, the SP and Congress will not get any votes in the upcoming elections. Get ready for this. Prime Minister Modi has said that we will not lose heart. We will get reservation for women. With this resolve, we have to take out a public outrage march from here."

Will never forgive SP and Congress

Rajya Sabha MP Arun Singh said, "On April 17, women across the country had a desire that when the decision on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act would be taken, it would be in their favor. They would celebrate, rejoice, and this day would be written in golden letters in the pages of the country's history. But the Congress and the Samajwadi Party opposed the amendment to the Nari Shakti Vandan Act in Parliament and voted against it. They not only opposed it, but also clapped and celebrated after violating women's rights."

He said, "This reflects the mentality of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party. This is the reason why there is public anger across the country. That is why you have gathered here in such large numbers, to show that we will never forgive the SP and the Congress."

80 percent majority hurt the interests of women

Pankaj Chaudhary said, "The BJP's identity is the upliftment and respect of women. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our government is continuously working for women's empowerment. The main objective of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act was to give leadership rights to the mothers and sisters of the country. So that women can contest elections for 33 percent of the seats in the Lok Sabha and Legislative Assemblies and their participation in policy-making can be ensured."

He said, "Despite this, the opposition, including the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, obstructed it. Some said it would create divisions between North and South India. Some also said that Muslim women should also have reservations. Our leaders responded to all these objections in detail in the House. While on the one hand the opposition parties talk about respect and empowerment of women, on the other hand, in the name of veil and vote bank, they have harmed the interests of 80 percent majority women in the name of 20 percent minority women."
