News Topical, Digital Desk : The ED has summoned Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar's brother and Congress leader DK Suresh for questioning in an alleged fraud case linked to a money laundering probe against a local woman.

The ED had arrested Aishwarya in April after it raided the premises of local woman Aishwarya Gowda and Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni.

The ED had said that the woman claimed to be close to several "high-profile" politicians and defrauded people by promising them high returns on gold, cash and bank deposits.

It is alleged that she used Suresh's name and introduced herself as his sister. Suresh lodged a complaint with the Bangalore police, saying that his name was being 'misused'.
