Declined Trump's invitation to visit the land of Lord Jagannath: PM Modi in Odisha

During this, tremendous enthusiasm was seen among the people present there. People showered flowers on PM Modi's convoy. During this, PM Modi while addressing the public meeting in Bhubaneswar said, 'Today the first BJP government of Odisha has successfully completed one year. This anniversary is not just of the government. This is the anniversary of the establishment of good governance. This one year is dedicated to public service and public trust. This is a great year of honest efforts to live up to the trust of crores of voters of Odisha.' In his speech, PM Modi said that Odisha is the divine star of India's heritage. Odisha has been enriching Indian civilization and our culture for hundreds of years. Mahaprabhu Jagannath is both our idol and inspiration and with the blessings of Mahaprabhu, the issues related to the temple have also been resolved. As soon as the government was formed here, all the four doors of the temple were opened. The Ratna Bhandar of the temple has also been opened. This is not a matter of politics or victory or defeat. This is an act of respecting the faith of crores of devotees. 

1. PM Modi said that two days ago I went to Canada for the G7 summit. US President Trump called me. He said that since you have come to Canada, you should go via Washington. We will have food together and talk. He invited me. I told Trump that thank you for your invitation, it is very important for me to go to the land of Mahaprabhu. That is why I politely refused his invitation and your love and devotion to Mahaprabhu has brought me to this land. 
2. PM Modi said that for decades after independence, people in the country have seen the Congress model. In the Congress model, there was neither good governance nor was the life of the people easy. Stalling, hanging, misleading, and rampant corruption in development projects were the hallmarks of the Congress model of development. Now, for the last few years, the country has been widely seeing the BJP model of development. In the last decade, there are many states in the country where BJP governments were formed for the first time. In these states, not only did the government change, but a new era of social and economic change has also begun.
