News Topical, Digital Desk : Have you ever thought that falling sick frequently or minor infections not getting cured quickly can be a sign of some serious disease (Cancer Symptoms)? Often we ignore the changing weather or normal weakness as the reason for this, but sometimes these symptoms can point to a major problem going on in our body, such as cancer.

when the immune system is weak

Our immune system helps us fight diseases, but certain types of cancer, such as leukemia  (blood cancer) , lymphoma (cancer of the lymphatic system), and multiple myeloma (cancer of plasma cells), directly affect our immunity. These cancers interfere with the production or functioning of white blood cells in the body, weakening our immunity.

When immunity is weak, a person may have problems like frequent fever, respiratory infections (such as cough, cold, bronchitis) or wounds that do not heal easily. Some solid tumors, when they reach an advanced stage, can disrupt the functioning of the bone marrow and reduce the body's immunity.

Do not ignore these 6 symptoms even by mistake

According to doctors, there are some special 'red flags' which we should take seriously:

  1. More than 4 serious infections a year: If you get four or more infections a year that are serious and affect your daily routine.
  2. Difficult to treat or recurrent infections: Infections that are difficult to treat or that seem to resolve and then return frequently.
  3. Persistent fever: A fever that lasts for a long time without any obvious cause.
  4. Night sweats: Excessive sweating while sleeping at night, so much so that clothes get wet.
  5. Sudden weight loss: Rapid loss of body weight without any diet or effort.
  6. Swollen lymph nodes: Feeling lumps or swollen lymph nodes in the neck, armpits, or groin.

It is important to know that not every recurrent infection is a sign of cancer  . Other conditions such as diabetes, autoimmune diseases or excessive stress can also be the cause.

Early identification is essential

However, if you notice sudden changes in your body or a pattern that does not go away, it is important to consult a doctor immediately. Early detection, especially in immune-related cancers, plays a big role in improving treatment outcomes.
