News Topical, Digital Desk : A man allegedly killed a 41-year-old colleague in an office in Bengaluru early Saturday following a quarrel over switching off the lights.

The deceased was identified as Bheemesh Babu, a resident of Chitradurga district, a police officer said. The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the office of Data Digital Bank, a company that stores daily movie shooting videos, police said.

Hit a friend with a dumbbell after an argument

According to police, two employees staying at the office overnight had an argument over turning off the lights. Enraged, Somala Vamshi (24), a resident of Vijayawada, allegedly struck his co-worker, Bheemesh, on the forehead with a dumbbell, killing him instantly.

Later he surrendered at the police station.

A senior police officer said the accused later went to the Govindraj Nagar police station and surrendered. A murder case has been registered against him and he has been arrested, and further investigations are underway, police said.
