The collector has filed a complaint with the Balaghat Cyber Cell. Using the collector's fake Facebook account, fraudsters sent friend requests to several people in Balaghat and Ujjain.
It should be noted that Mrinal Meena served as the District Panchayat CEO in Ujjain before becoming the Balaghat Collector. Therefore, the fraudster also attempted to defraud officials known to Mrinal Meena in Ujjain, but he failed.
He asked for 75,000 rupees and got only 5 rupees.
According to reports, Yashwant Gothwal, the account officer at the Ujjain District Panchayat, received a message from a fake account in the name of Collector Mrinal Meena demanding money. The fraudster demanded 75,000 rupees from Yashwant. Upon depositing five rupees, the fraudster became angry and began abusing Yashwant.
Suspicious, Yashwant investigated and discovered that a Facebook message had been sent in the name of Mrinal Meena, and that her Facebook account had been hacked. The fraudster had also sent friend requests to several people in Balaghat using the fake account. These included Balaghat businessmen, journalists, and employees and officers working at the Collectorate.

Collector Mrinal Meena stated that the fraudster created a fake Facebook account using her photo from the internet. She urged people not to accept friend requests in her name or respond to messages soliciting money.
