In fact, the effects of snowfall in the hilly states are now being felt in the plains. Cold winds have intensified winter in North India. The possibility of cold waves and snowfall remains in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, with the effects now being felt in states like Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh.
Weather condition in Delhi
Talking about the weather in the national capital, Delhi will remain cold today. The day will be clear and sunny. The maximum temperature will be around 23°C to 24°C, while the minimum temperature may drop to 8°C to 10°C.
Cold will increase in UP
The weather in Uttar Pradesh will be clear but cold today. Temperatures will continue to drop, leading to cold wave-like conditions in some areas. Maximum temperatures are expected to be between 24°C and 26°C, and minimum temperatures between 8°C and 11°C.
Cyclone 'Senyar' threatens Bay of Bengal
Meanwhile, the weather is suddenly deteriorating in the Bay of Bengal, where a cyclonic storm named "Senyar" could hit within the next 24 to 48 hours. According to the Meteorological Department (Skymet), this storm will rapidly develop in the Andaman Sea. Winds will blow at speeds of 40 to 50 km/h, and heavy rains will be recorded along with thunderstorms.
This storm will most severely impact India's southern and coastal states. The International Monetary Fund (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warnings for several states between November 25 and December 1, including:
- Tamil Nadu
- Kerala
- Andhra Pradesh
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands
- Coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal
Heavy rain, strong winds and flooding are expected in these areas.
