A shocking incident took place in the IRC Village area of the city today. A 13-year-old boy fell from the roof directly onto a grill. In this accident, the grill got stuck in the child's body. The child has been identified as Sohan Digal, who hails from Kandhamal district. The incident took place when he went to take his school dress which was drying on the roof. While taking out the clothes, he lost his balance and fell down. Unfortunately, he got badly stuck in the sharp iron grill installed at the bottom.

According to the information received, Sohan screamed as soon as he fell from above and got stuck in the grill, hearing which the people nearby ran. Coincidentally, the team of the Secretariat Fire Station was already present in the area at that time. These people were assessing the damage caused by the storm in the morning. As soon as they heard the child's screams, they also immediately reached the spot. The fire brigade team, without wasting any time, cut the grill with a cutter machine and very carefully took Sohan out.

Treatment going on in ICU

After the accident, Sohan was immediately admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar. Sohan is being treated here. Doctors say that Sohan's condition remains critical. He has been kept in the ICU and is undergoing continuous treatment. Regarding the child's condition, AIIMS has said that after the operation, the child has been shifted to the Pediatric Surgery ICU and the child's condition is now stable. Sohan's family is in deep shock due to this accident. Everyone is praying for his safety. Local people are also shocked by this incident and are praying for the child's speedy recovery.
