Canberra. Pro-Palestine protesters created a ruckus on the roof of the Parliament House in Canberra, Australia. On Thursday morning, a group of four pro-Palestine protesters climbed onto the roof of the Parliament House, where they hung banners in front of the building. The banner accused the government of complicity in war crimes.

After coming down from the roof, the protesters were taken into custody by Australian Federal Police and Australian Capital Territory Police officers at around 11.45am local time on Thursday, according to news agency Xinhua.

'Three men and a woman were arrested'

In a statement, police confirmed that three men and a woman were arrested and are likely to be charged with trespassing. "There is no place here to hold any protest of this sort that endangers others, there is no place here to hold any protest that impacts public institutions or public buildings," Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Richard Marles said at a press conference inside Parliament House.
