Radha Madan Mohan Temple : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the grand Shri Shri Radha Madan Mohan Ji temple in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai on Wednesday (January 15, 2025). Completed after 12 years of construction, this temple has been built at a cost of ₹ 170 crores and is considered to be the second largest ISKCON temple in Asia. This temple is spread over 9 acres.
Along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar will also be present at the temple inauguration. Talking to ABP News about this temple, the trustee of the temple, Dr. Surdas Prabhu, told in detail that the temple will emerge as a new center of spirituality in the Navi Mumbai area. He said that the arrival of the PM gives them more strength given the kind of situation that has been seen recently.
'This temple will give peace to a restless mind'
He said, "People will not only come here in devotion and refuge of God but will also take the help of this temple to provide peace to their disturbed mind." Surdas Prabhu told that along with inaugurating this temple, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the cultural center and Vedic museum. Earlier, on 12 October 2024, PM Modi has visited this temple in Navi Mumbai.
Special features of the temple
This temple is spread over 23.9 acres in Navi Mumbai, Kharghar, Sector. It is constructed with marble and silver doors. In the temple, Lord Krishna's pastimes are engraved on marble canvas in 3D pictures. International guest house, beautiful garden and fountains have been built in the temple. Huge pond for boat festival, Vedic education college and library, huge Prasadam hall, Ayurvedic healing center, pure vegetarian restaurant have also been built.
Inauguration ceremony and religious rituals
The inauguration ceremony of the temple will continue till January 15. During this time various cultural and devotional music programs will be organized. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited this temple on 12 October 2024. Along with the inauguration, he will also lay the foundation stone of the cultural center and Vedic museum.
