Indore Railway Station : The wait for the construction work of Indore Railway Station is now going to end, as the work on this project is going to start from January 2025. The Railway Ministry has approved the tender for this project and it is expected that its work will be completed by 2027. More than Rs 400 crore is estimated to be spent on this project.

To ensure that there is no disruption in the rail services running at Indore Railway Station during this construction work, MP Shankar Lalwani has urged the railway officials to prepare Mhow and Laxmibai Nagar railway stations and increase the facilities there.

MP Lalwani said that most of the trains will be operated from Mhow and Laxmibai Nagar stations and priority is being given to the development work going on at these stations so that passengers do not face any inconvenience.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed the virtual bhoomipujan of the new construction work of Indore railway station. The new station has been designed keeping in mind the state-of-the-art facilities like an airport, which will be ready to meet the passenger needs of Indore for the next 50 years. The area of ​​the new station will be about 10 times more than the current railway station. More than one lakh passengers will be able to travel from this station daily, and parking space for more than 500 cars will also be available here.

Apart from this, environmental aspects have also been kept in mind at Indore Railway Station. Solar panels will be installed at the station, which will meet a large part of the daily electricity needs through solar energy. The new station will also have facilities of 26 lifts and 17 escalators, so that passengers do not have to face any kind of problem.

With this new construction, the look of Indore railway station will completely change, which will prove to be a big facility not only for the city but for the entire state. This station will not only provide world-class facilities to the passengers but will also become an important center from the point of view of railway traffic.
