
News Topical, Digital Desk : News of a tragic accident has come to light on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway. More than 30 people have been injured in this tragic accident and the condition of 2 is said to be critical. A major accident occurred in Barabanki on Wednesday night when a double-decker bus overturned. The bus going from Gorakhpur to Delhi overturned on Lucknow-Ayodhya NH-27 near Dharauli village of Ramsanehi Ghat at around 11 pm.
More than 30 passengers were injured in this accident. With the help of local people, the injured were taken out of the bus. Police took all the injured to Community Health Center Ramsnehi Ghat. Center Superintendent Dr. Amresh Verma and health workers started treating the injured. Two seriously injured were referred to the district hospital.
The driver had consumed alcohol at the eatery
According to the injured passengers, the bus driver had stopped at a roadside eatery during the journey and had consumed alcohol. After this, he recklessly drove the bus at a high speed. Then he lost control in the Ramsnehi Ghat area due to which the bus overturned on the highway.
Police officers including SDM reached the hospital
On receiving information about the incident, SDM Anurag Singh, DSP Jatashankar Mishra and Additional Superintendent of Police also reached the hospital. SDM instructed the health workers not to be negligent in treatment. Due to the promptness of the police, no one lost their life.
Two seriously injured people were referred to the district hospital
Community Health Center Superintendent Dr. Amresh Verma informed that more than 30 injured were treated here. Two of these passengers were referred to the district hospital for advanced treatment due to the severity of their injuries.
