This incident is from Karan Johar's 1998 film "Kuch Kuch Hota Hai." The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji. This was the first film in which Rani and Shah Rukh shared the screen together. At the time, Rani was in the early days of her career, while SRK had already become a star. The film included a kissing scene between the two, which Rani felt very uncomfortable doing.

According to Filmfare, Rani Mukerji shared an anecdote about her kissing scene with Shah Rukh Khan in 2018, saying, "Whenever he came close to kiss me, I would back off a little. Shah Rukh, looking at Karan, would say, 'Who have you brought? I can't romance with her. I'm not going to eat her.'" She was also worried about how her chemistry with Shah Rukh would look on the big screen. However, the pairing of Tina and Rahul in the film was highly appreciated.
After Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji worked together in several films including Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Veer Zaara, Chalte Chalte.
