Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav alias Doctor N John Kam, who claimed to be a cardiologist returned from Britain, treated dozens of patients at Damoh's Mission Hospital without a valid medical license. Doctor N John Kam allegedly performed 15 surgeries in 45 days, out of which seven patients died. After this, there was a stir and his fraud was exposed and now he has been sent to police custody for five days. Since his arrest, shocking revelations are being made about him one after the other.

Fake names were used, patients' lives were put in danger

Narendra Vikramaditya Yadav had adopted the name Dr. N John Kam to perform operations at Mission Hospital, Damoh. This fake doctor is not only accused of forgery, fraud and endangering people's lives, but the hospital has also accused him of stealing equipment. He is accused of stealing the hospital's portable echo machine, which is said to be worth five to seven lakh rupees. A complaint has also been lodged in this regard.

MBBS registration number is also wrong

The MBBS registration number of this doctor belongs to a female doctor and there are no credible records for other degrees. Senior police officer SP Shrutkirti Somvanshi confirmed and said, "Her degree appears to be fake and tampered with. Her mobile, tablet and even emails show that her identity is fake. She has probably been working as a doctor in Madhya Pradesh for seven or eight years. We are questioning her strictly in this regard."

CMO sought clarification

According to information, in 2006, this fake doctor operated on former Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Rajendra Prasad Shukla at Apollo Hospital. Sources said that during his tenure, eight patients died. At that time too, during the investigation, his fake MBBS degree was suspected.

Dr. Pramod Tiwari, Chief Medical and Health Officer of Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh, has now taken action against Apollo Hospital. A formal notice has been issued to the hospital management seeking a detailed explanation on the appointment of a fake doctor. The hospital has been asked to submit all documents of his educational qualification and clarify what action has been taken against him in the case of the death of several patients including the former Assembly Speaker.

"We are investigating who is responsible, from the agency to the hospital authorities. The statement of the CMHO will also be recorded," the official confirmed. The case highlights a systemic failure ranging from the hospital's verification process to the medical council's lack of due diligence and the misplaced trust of families grieving the loss of their loved ones.
