Delhi Police News : In a strong initiative of Delhi Police, on the orders of Outer District Deputy Commissioner of Police IPS Sachin Sharma, the Community Police Cell of Delhi Police in collaboration with Mangolpuri Police Station organized a street play at Balmiki Chowk to increase voter participation for the Delhi Assembly elections. The event was led by the SHO of Mangolpuri Police Station and the Community Police Cell team, which instilled a sense of civic pride and responsibility among the local residents.

The aim of this street play was to inspire people to recognise the power of their vote and the importance of making informed electoral decisions. With around 150 participants, the event provided engaging educational sessions that guided participants through voter registration and highlighted the fundamental role of every citizen in shaping the future of Delhi.

A highlight of the event was the selfie point, where participants captured their commitment to vote and shared their pledge with the hashtag #pledge2voteDLAE2025. This interactive moment created a wave of enthusiasm, encouraging people to embrace their civic duty and increase their enthusiasm for the upcoming elections.

Contribute to transparent elections 

The programme successfully brought together local residents and law enforcement agencies to ensure a fair, transparent and vibrant electoral process. As the street play concluded, there was an atmosphere of euphoria as everyone expressed their determination to contribute to a democratic and transparent election. This initiative is part of an ongoing effort that promotes civic awareness and grassroots engagement. By empowering individuals and fostering collaboration, the police and the community are fuelling a movement for a more active, informed electorate in the 2025 elections.
