New Delhi. The first budget of the third term of the NDA government will be presented on Tuesday in the session starting from Monday. Through this, the government will indicate the roadmap for the next five years, but the opposition parties are also seen sitting ready with swords of issues drawn for political settlement.

Congress is again adamant on discussing the same issues on which the first session was marred by uproar, such as discussion on NEET and Manipur violence. However, the Supreme Court may give its decision on the NEET issue on Monday. The government order to reveal the identity of shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route in Uttar Pradesh is set to add spice to the opposition's attitude.

Demand for special status to the states

Suppose the opposition wants to give impetus to the special status demand to Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. In that case, the united voice of alliance partners JDU and LJP in support of opposition party RJD's demand of special status to Bihar can put pressure on the coalition government at the centre. With the intention and tradition of conducting the budget session smoothly, the government called an all-party meeting on Sunday.

In this meeting chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, a total of 55 leaders from 44 parties, including party leader in Rajya Sabha JP Nadda, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju and Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, attended the meeting on behalf of the government. The government informed that a total of 19 meetings will be held in this session running from 22 July to 12 August. In this, the Economic Survey will be presented in Parliament by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on 22 July and the Economic Budget on 23 July. Apart from this, six bills are also to be presented in the House.

The government said- ready for positive discussion

The government, while seeking cooperation from all parties in the smooth conduct of the session, assured that the government is ready for positive discussions on every important issue. However, the way the leaders of the opposition parties have highlighted the issues during this discussion clearly indicates that the session will be tumultuous and a lot of confrontation can be seen between the ruling party and the opposition.

Opposition adamant on the demand for the post of Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha

Sources said that Congress is adamant on the demand to give the post of Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha to the opposition. Senior party leader Jairam Ramesh demanded to discuss Manipur violence and NEET paper leak along with irregularities in the all-party meeting. Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi and Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh opposed the Yogi government's order to reveal the identity of shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route by the Uttar Pradesh government and made it clear that they will raise it in Parliament.

Demand to give special state status to Andhra Pradesh

It is reported that the YSRCP member alleged that the ruling NDA ally Telugu Desam Party government in Andhra Pradesh is deliberately targeting the party leaders, so the central government should intervene or impose President's rule there. He also raised the demand for special state status for Andhra Pradesh.
