A passenger plane of Azerbaijan Airlines crashed in Kazakhstan on Wednesday. According to the information, this accident happened near the city of Aktau in Kazakhstan. A horrifying video of the accident has also surfaced.

 

So far, 39 people have been reported dead in this accident. There were a total of 67 people on board the plane, including 5 crew members. 28 people have survived this horrific plane crash. 22 people, including an 11-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy, have been admitted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment.

 

how did the accident happen

Initial investigations revealed that the plane had to be diverted due to heavy fog. The plane was diverted to Aktau. However, as soon as the plane reached Aktau International Airport, an emergency landing was requested from the plane, but the plane crashed before that. After the accident, Kazakhstan officials said that they are investigating every possible aspect of the incident. It is believed that some technical fault may have been behind the accident.

Some initial reports claimed that it is possible that a flock of birds collided with the plane. Due to which one engine got damaged. The pilots of the plane tried to gain speed and height, but they could not succeed and the control over the plane failed.

 

Video of the incident surfaced

It crashed about three kilometers away from the airport. The horrifying video of the plane crash is rapidly going viral on social media. In the video, it was seen how the plane was falling down on its nose. It rapidly lost its height and fell to the ground and turned into a ball of fire in no time.

 

There were passengers from Russia on board as well

The Embraer 190 aircraft flight number J2-8243 was going from Baku to Grozny in Russia. There were 16 Russian citizens on board this plane. There were 67 people on board the plane including five crew members. Immediately after the incident, 150 rescue workers and 45 equipment were deployed on the spot and started relief and rescue work.
