What is Guillain-Barre syndrome?
This is a rare disease. In this, the body's immune system starts attacking the nerves. This directly affects the muscles and weakness starts to be felt. In some cases, hands and feet also become numb and in severe cases, paralysis can also occur. This syndrome was discovered in 1916 itself. French neurologists Georges Guillain and Jean Alexandre Barre discovered it for the first time. It is a kind of auto immune disease.

According to health experts, there is still no definite answer as to how this disease or syndrome occurs suddenly, but it has often been seen that this disease occurs after a viral or bacterial infection or sometimes after vaccination or a major surgery. In this, the
immune system hyperreacts.
