Colombo: Ajit Doval's presence in the ongoing National Security Advisor (NSA) level international conference in Sri Lanka is not just for nothing. Here in Colombo, NSA Ajit Doval has arrived to participate in the NSA level talks of four countries. The purpose is clear - to strengthen internal and external security. Especially to make such a strategy against China from Sri Lanka to Maldives and Mauritius so that it cannot conspire against India. India's aim is to surround China from the Indian Ocean to the South China Sea and the Pacific Ocean. So that none of China's tricks can succeed against India.
NSA Ajit Doval today met Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe and discussed ongoing bilateral economic cooperation. Doval arrived here on Thursday to attend the 'Colombo Security Conclave' to be held today. Sri Lanka's President's Media Division (PMD) said that Doval met President Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat this morning. They discussed ongoing economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and India. PMD said that Senior Advisor to the President on National Security Sagala Ratnayake also attended the meeting.
Meeting with these four countries
The 'Colombo Security Conclave' brings together the National Security Advisors and Deputy National Security Advisors of India, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Mauritius. Bangladesh and Seychelles have observer status in the conclave. Issues related to maritime security, counter-terrorism and cyber security are discussed in this conclave and India conveys its strategic concerns in the Indian Ocean. If India succeeds in foiling China's ploy in these countries, it will be a big victory for it. You must remember the case of the Chinese spy ship that reached Hambantota in Sri Lanka a year ago on the pretext of research. After India's strong protest, this ship had to return. Later, Sri Lanka did not allow China to come again. (Language)
