News Topical, Digital Desk : Bihar Police is on alert mode regarding 15th August, Chehalum and Janmashtami. All the districts have been put on high alert by the Police Headquarters. The intelligence system has been fully activated. Information in this regard has been given by the Bihar Police Headquarters on Monday (August 11, 2025).
ADG (Law and Order) Pankaj Darad said that Chehlum is on 16th August, the day after 15th August, which is celebrated on a large scale by the Muslim community. Keeping this in mind, areas with special population have been marked. In these areas, after holding a meeting with the SP, DM and magistrates, instructions have been given to deploy additional police force so that the atmosphere remains peaceful during religious events.

It was told that during Chehlum, Tazia processions are also taken out at many places. Such processions will be videographed so that immediate action can be taken in case of any disturbance. ADG Law and Order said that a peace committee meeting has been held with police officials in Muslim-dominated areas to ensure that Chehlum is celebrated peacefully.

On the other hand, DJ has been banned. ADG Pankaj Darad has given a strict warning regarding this. He said, "Chehellum is a festival of mourning. If anyone plays DJ, direct action will be taken. If anyone tries to spoil the atmosphere during Chehellum, action will be taken against such people under the Indian Penal Code and CCA."

To ensure that all festivals are celebrated peacefully, special vigil will be kept on anti-social elements. Pankaj Darad said that there is no shortage of police force. Bihar Police currently has more than 8000 trainee recruits, 40 companies of SAP, 12 additional DG Reserve, 7 companies of CRPF. These forces will be deployed as per the need.
