There was a lot of controversy over the story of the film based on Kanhaiya Lal murder case since the release of the trailer.
The producer is getting threats on call
Now the producer of the film Amit Jani says that since the release of the movie he has been receiving death threats. In a conversation with X, he said that he is getting repeated calls from a number and a person is threatening to kill him.
He tweeted, “Continuous threats of bombing, shooting and abuses are being made from the number +971566707310. He is claiming to be a resident of Bihar and his name is Tabrez. A case should be filed against him and he should be arrested.”
Security was given last month
Just last month, the central government provided the Udaipur Files producer with 'Y' category armed security in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. This security comes days after the Supreme Court allowed the producer to approach the police and seek protection as he had cited threat to his life. Y category security comprises 8 to 11 security personnel including commandos who guard the individual round the clock.
This is the case of the year 2022
'Udaipur Files' is based on the murder of a tailor named Kanhaiya Lal Sahu. The incident took place in 2022 and petitions were filed to stay the release of the film. However, the central government approved the film on August 6 and the makers decided to release it on August 8.
