News Topical, Digital Desk : The animated film Mahavtar Narasimha based on mythology has been ruling the box office since its release and is making new records every day. Now with the collection of the 17th day, the film has made a great record. The film has surpassed Hollywood's animated film The Lion King and has achieved the title of the highest grossing animated film in India.

Mahavatar Narasimha became number 1 animated film

According to Saccanilk, Ashwin Kumar's film has earned 19.24 crores at the box office on the 17th day and with this its box office collection has become 165.14 crores. Before this, there was only The Lion King whose lifetime collection in India was around 158 crores and it remained the highest grossing animated film in India, according to Bollywood Hungama's report. But now this record has been made by Mahavtar Narasimha. Talking about worldwide, the film has collected 182 crores.

Audiences flocking to theaters

Mahavatar Narasimha was released in theatres on 25th July and so far the audience is flocking to watch this film. Despite having films like Saiyyara, Son of Sardar 2 and Dhadak 2 in front of it, it has managed to draw the audience to the theatres. Currently, the film has a few more days because big films like Coolie and War 2 are going to be released on 14th August, after which its earnings may be affected. Till then Mahavatar Narasimha can break some more records.

Interestingly, Hombale Films and Clem Productions have recently released the list of upcoming films of this animated franchise in which films will be made on the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu. The first film in this list was Mahavtar Narasimha. After this, Mahavtar Parashuram will be released in 2027, Mahavtar Raghunandan in 2029, Mahavtar Dhakvaadesh in 2031, Mahavtar Gokulananda in 2033, Mahavtar Kalki Part 1 in 2035 and Mahavtar Kalki Part 2 in 2037. Aditya Raj Sharma, Haripriya Matta and Priyanka Bhandari have played important roles in Mahavtar Narasimha.
