'We have no objection to America's decision, but...', Pakistan's tone changed on TRF; What did Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar say?

News Topical, Digital Desk : Pakistan has been agitated ever since the US put the terrorist organization 'The Resistance Front' (TRF), which carried out the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in the list of Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO). After supporting TRF in the United Nations, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has now welcomed the US decision.

Pak Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar met Foreign Secretary Marco Rubio in the US capital Washington DC on Friday. During this, they also talked about TRF.

What did the Pakistani Foreign Minister say?

According to Ishaq Dar, it is America's own decision to declare TRF a terrorist organization and we welcome it. If America has evidence that TRF is involved in terrorist activities, then they can absolutely do so.

Ishaq Dar said-

It is wrong to link TRF with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Lashkar was destroyed by Pakistan many years ago. The terrorists associated with Lashkar were prosecuted, arrested and sent to jail. Lashkar does not even exist in Pakistan now.

Statement given in Parliament

Let us tell you that earlier Ishaq Dar had said in the Parliament of Pakistan that we had objected to taking the name of TRF during the condemnation of the Pahalgam attack in the United Nations. I got calls from all over the world, but we did not agree to this.

TRF has taken responsibility for many terrorist attacks

India declared TRF a terrorist organization under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in January 2023 itself. TRF has come into existence since 2019. Since then TRF has taken responsibility for many major attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.
