Lucknow. The report of the inquiry commission on the murder of gangsters Atiq Ahmed and Ashraf will be presented in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly today. A five-member commission was formed in this case under the chairmanship of retired judge Dilip Baba Saheb Bhosale.
Gangsters Atiq and Ashraf, accused in the Umesh Pal murder case, were shot dead in the hospital premises of Prayagraj on 15 April 2023. To investigate this, a five-member judicial commission was constituted by the government under the chairmanship of former Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court Dilip Baba Saheb Bhosale.
Former Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court Virendra Singh, former Justice of Allahabad High Court Arvind Kumar Tripathi, former Director General of Police Subhash Kumar Singh and retired District Judge Brijesh Kumar Soni were also made members of the commission.
