News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump announced a 100% tariff on all films produced outside the United States. He also announced hefty tariffs on any country that doesn't manufacture its furniture in the US.

US President Donald Trump wrote in a social media post that America's "filmmaking business" has been snatched away by other countries like "candy from a child." California has been severely affected by its weak and incompetent governor. “So to solve this long-standing, never-ending problem, I will impose a 100% tariff on all films produced outside the US.”

In another post, President Trump said that to make North Carolina, which has completely lost its furniture business to China and other countries, great again, I will impose massive tariffs on any country that does not make its furniture in the United States.

Earlier this week, President Trump announced steep tariffs on several products. He imposed the highest tariff of 100 percent on pharmaceutical products, saying the tariffs would not apply to companies "building" their manufacturing plants in the United States. He also imposed a 50 percent tariff on kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and other related products.
