News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that member countries of the newly formed Board of Peace have pledged more than USD 5 billion for rehabilitation and reconstruction work in Gaza.
This announcement has been made before the first meeting of the Board of Peace on February 19.
Trump will meet with members of the Board of Peace
"On February 19th, I will meet with the members of the Board of Peace in Washington. There, we will announce that member states have pledged more than $5 billion for rehabilitation and reconstruction in Gaza," Trump wrote on TruthSocial.
Member States have committed to deploying thousands of personnel to the international force and local police to protect Gazans and maintain peace. They also stressed that Hamas must fulfill its commitment to complete and immediate demilitarization.
