News Topical, Digital Desk : A temple purification case has emerged in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar following former minister Abdul Sattar's visit to the temple on Mahashivratri. Following his visit to the Nageshwar Temple in Rahimabad, some youths claimed to have purified the temple by sprinkling cow urine on it, calling it impure. The incident occurred on February 15th.
Abdul Sattar had visited the Nageshwar Temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri. Following his visit, some young men objected, claiming that Sattar's entry had violated religious decorum. Following this, a purification ceremony was carried out within the temple premises.
Why was the temple purified?
The protesting youths say that Abdul Sattar eats non-vegetarian food for breakfast and does not leave his house without it. They claim that such a person is not allowed to enter a holy day like Mahashivratri. Based on this, they sprinkled cow urine in the temple.
Following the incident, tension prevailed for some time within the temple complex. However, no major disputes or clashes were reported. Former minister Abdul Sattar has yet to officially comment on the incident.
