News Topical, Digital Desk : Bullet motorcycles that emit firecracker-like noises on the roads will now be subject to direct action. The Transport Department has clarified that vehicles with modified silencers that produce loud noises will have their RC (registration) cancelled and strict action will be taken against the driver.

On the instructions of the Transport Commissioner, ARTO Administration Ashok Srivastava held a meeting with Bullet dealers, motor garage and workshop operators and issued strict instructions.

Dealers and garage operators have been warned to completely stop selling or fitting such silencers. Those found guilty in an investigation could face a fine of up to ₹1 lakh under the Motor Vehicles Act.
