If the trailer is anything to go by, expect a powerful performance from Dhanush as he plays a man forced to confront his violent past. He used to rob banks, but years later, his old habits have eluded him, leading to dire consequences.
What's in the trailer?
The trailer begins with a tense atmosphere, as the Gulf War rages on, now in its sixth month. Oil prices are skyrocketing and there's a severe fuel crisis; corruption and crime are at their peak. Dhanush is the man who takes charge of this situation. He robs banks one after another, at a breakneck pace, as if he fears nothing. Even in broad daylight, there's no one in sight to stop him.
In this story, Suraj Venjaramoodu plays a police officer who desperately tries to get to the bottom of the case and catch Dhanush. Years have passed, and Karsamy is now married; his wife is played by Mamita Baiju. One evening, his wife asks him about his day: where he was? Was he stealing? He has no answer. Whether he remains bound by his habits even after marriage, or whether he changes, is the story.
About 'Kara'
Directed by Vignesh Raja, "Kara" is produced by Vels Film International, with music composed by G.V. Prakash Kumar. The trailer looks promising, and we're eagerly awaiting the film's release. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 30, 2026.
