Tharoor shared his experience of meeting Chopra at X, posting photos from backstage and praising her achievements. He wrote, "Met Priyanka Chopra after a decade in the backstage wings of Harvard, just before she was to deliver the closing keynote at @HarvardIndConf. It was amazing to see how well she's doing! She's made India proud by conquering a stage Indians rarely get to grace. And yes, she looks absolutely beautiful, so calm and composed, what's not to be proud of?"
Shashi Tharoor regrets this
A poster was shared regarding this conference, which read, "Speakers for 2026 Conference - Dr. Tharoor and Priyanka Chopra will be speakers at the India Conference 2026, organized by Harvard students." Responding to this, the Congress leader wrote, "Regrettably, not with us."
Priyanka Chopra expressed her gratitude
Priyanka Chopra responded warmly to Tharoor's message and thanked him. She replied, "It's so nice to see you again, Shashi Tharoor sir. I've always admired you as a speaker, but also for your clap back. Thank you so much for being on my panel and for your wisdom. I hope you feel better soon and we cross paths again."
During her keynote, Priyanka Chopra spoke about her early years and the impact her experiences in the United States had on her. She said, "Your life is a combination of choices and experiences, and me going to America at that young age, it was a very special teenage age, you know, you're kind of being influenced to become an adult, you choose the things that work for you, that serve you. And I spent that time in the States. So it definitely defined me, made me independent."
Priyanka's work front
On the work front, Priyanka is set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli's "Varanasi," co-starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj. Her upcoming film also includes "The Bluff," which will be released on OTT platforms.
