Torrential rains in southern states

According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, conditions are favorable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, remaining parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and parts of West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, and Telangana over the next two to three days. Meanwhile, a warning for torrential heavy rainfall has been issued for parts of South India for the next five days. Therefore, residents in these areas need to be cautious.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places is likely in Tamil Nadu, Kerala during 12-17 October, Lakshadweep on 12 October, South Interior Karnataka during 12 to 15 October, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema during 11 to 14 October. Apart from this, strong surface winds will blow in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and Rayalaseema on 12 October. An alert has been issued for thunderstorms with lightning and strong winds in Odisha on 11-13 October. Talking about North-East India, there is a possibility of rain with lightning in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura on 12 October.

Temperatures started falling in Delhi NCR

Meanwhile, temperatures have started falling across the country, including the capital Delhi and surrounding areas. Cold winds are blowing in the morning and evening, making the weather cooler. The temperature has been decreasing even during the day for the past two days. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi NCR will remain between 30 and 31 degrees Celsius until October 17. Winds are blowing at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour in Delhi NCR. Night temperatures in Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Faridabad have reached 18 to 19 degrees Celsius.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no chance of rain in Delhi-NCR until Diwali. The weather will remain clear and winds will continue to blow. Temperatures will continue to drop in these areas, accompanied by mild sunshine. Predictions suggest that the cold will begin to intensify after Diwali.
