News Topical, Digital Desk : Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Thursday that we have to teach the world how to handle diversity, as the world does not have the kind of system that India has.
He said, “Don't form an opinion about the Sangh without experiencing it firsthand. To join the Sangh, come to the branch and do whatever you feel is right for you. The Sangh knows how to organize the entire society. The Sangh was not created to destroy anyone. It works to build the individual.”
Bhagwat was addressing a program organized on Thursday to mark the centenary of the RSS. He said that making the nation prosperous and a world leader is not in the hands of any one person. Leaders, parties, governments, great men, and organizations like the RSS can be helpful in this task, but they cannot be the root cause. This is everyone's job, and everyone must be taken along for the ride.
He chose to defend himself because it would give him another opportunity to speak. Upon hearing his statement, the judge declared his defense speech even more seditious than the previous one. Dr. Hedgewar felt it was necessary to eradicate the evils that had been creeping into society for 1500 years. He realized that India would not be free from this chronic disease without organizing the entire Hindu society. Therefore, after a decade of thought and experimentation, he founded the Sangh.
The word Hindu is a unifying word.
Bhagwat said, "In India, our identity is Hindu. The word Hindu is unifying. Our nation is united by culture, not by state. In ancient times, when there were many states, we were one country; even when we were under foreign rule, we were one country."
