News Topical, Digital Desk : A shocking incident has come to light from Hassan district in Karnataka. A woman who had come to attend a wedding suddenly disappeared. Now, the case has taken a new turn. Hassan police have successfully traced the missing woman, Priyanka. Police investigations have revealed that Priyanka staged her disappearance as part of a plot to leave her husband and start a new life with her lover. Police conducted an operation based on call details (CDR) and traced Priyanka to Kunigal in Tumkur district.

The marriage took place two years ago

In fact, 29-year-old Priyanka, a resident of Kunigal in Tumkur district, was married two years ago to a man from Chikmagalur. Last Friday, Priyanka went to a friend's wedding in Kalkera village in Hassan taluk. She left her clothes, shoes, and other belongings in a nearby canal and fled. Priyanka, fearing her husband would think she was dead, filed a missing person report with the police, suspecting that Priyanka was wearing jewelry worth ₹30 lakh and that she might have been murdered to obtain the jewelry.

However, when police began investigating, they spotted Priyanka in CCTV footage at the Belur bus stand. Based on cellphone location, they confirmed that her boyfriend, David, was nearby, and both were subsequently taken into custody. Priyanka, a woman, faked her disappearance to distract her family and be with her boyfriend. According to preliminary investigations, Priyanka and her boyfriend worked at the same place. Hassan district police located the woman within just 12 hours of the case being filed. Police seized approximately 150 grams of gold jewelry taken from her home. The woman is currently undergoing a medical examination, and police are reviewing further legal action.
