News Topical, Digital Desk : In America, an Indian origin mother and her 6 year old son were killed by Hamid, a murderer from India. After killing the mother and son, Hamid wanted to kill the father as well. But he could not succeed in his plan. According to the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), this incident took place in New Jersey in 2017, where an Indian origin woman and her six year old son were brutally murdered. In this case, a reward of up to US $ 50,000 (approximately Rs 42 lakh) has been announced for information leading to the arrest of the main accused, Indian citizen Nazir Hamid (38).

FBI seeks Hamid's extradition from India

US officials with the FBI have appealed to the Indian government for Hamid's extradition. The incident occurred on March 23, 2017, when the bodies of Shashikala Nara (38) and her son, Anish Nara (6), were found in an apartment in Maple Shade, New Jersey. According to the post-mortem report, both had multiple deep stab wounds to their necks, and the child's head was nearly severed from his body. Police described it as the most horrific scene they had ever seen. The accused, Nazir Hamid, lived in the same apartment complex and worked at an IT company with the victim's husband, Hanumanth Nara.

The killer worked with the deceased's husband.

According to the FBI, Hamid worked with the deceased's husband, Hanumanth Nara. He also stalked Hanumanth relentlessly. Hamid returned to India just six months after the murder and has been living there ever since. In February of this year, a US court charged Hamid with two counts of murder, illegal possession of a firearm, and misuse of a weapon to commit murder. He is currently on the FBI's Most Wanted list. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy personally called Indian Ambassador Vinay Kwatra and wrote a letter seeking the Indian government's cooperation in the early extradition of Nazir Hamid.

The FBI has solid evidence against Hamid

The Governor of New Jersey called it a "brutal crime" and said that the incident had shocked the entire state of New Jersey. The Burlington County Prosecutor's Office claimed to have substantial evidence against Hamid and stated that justice would be ensured only through his arrest and extradition. The FBI has appealed to the public that if anyone has credible information regarding the whereabouts of Nazir Hamid or any other information related to him, they should contact the nearest US Embassy or the FBI. The identities of those providing information will be kept confidential.
