Now, Chinese Premier Li Keqiang is also preparing to visit North Korea. This is the first time since 2019 that a Chinese leader holding such a high position will visit North Korea.
Announcing Li Keqiang's visit, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that the Chinese Prime Minister will visit North Korea from Thursday to Saturday, accompanied by other officials, to participate in the 80th anniversary celebrations of North Korea's ruling party.

China has long been a key partner of North Korea. North Korea has also improved its relations with Russia. Kim Jong Un sent a large number of North Korean troops to assist Russia in the Ukraine war. Russia is also planning to send former President Dmitry Medvedev to North Korea to mark the 80th anniversary of the ruling party.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying, "China and North Korea are neighbors as well as traditional friends. This is an important strategic policy of the Chinese government." In particular, China's ruling Communist Party supports strengthening ties with North Korea.
Xi Jinping visited in 2019
This visit by Li Keqiang is expected to be extremely significant. Previously, Chinese President Xi Jinping visited North Korea in 2019. In addition to China and Russia, Vietnamese leaders will also visit North Korea. This will be the first visit by a Vietnamese leader since 2007.
