News Topical, Digital Desk : The Israeli army has ordered the immediate evacuation of residents of seven towns in southern Lebanon, located beyond the buffer zone that Israel occupied before the ceasefire.
An Israeli military spokesman said Hezbollah was violating the ceasefire and Israel would take action against it. He urged people to leave the towns to the north and west. Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at a cabinet meeting in Jerusalem, "From our perspective, the security of Israel, the security of our soldiers, and the security of our communities are the priority."
What did Hezbollah say?
He further said, "We are taking strict action in accordance with the agreement reached with America and Lebanon." Meanwhile, Hezbollah said that as long as Israel continues to "violate the ceasefire", it will not stop its attacks on Israeli soldiers inside Lebanon and cities in northern Israel.
The Iran-backed group said in a statement that it would not wait for "diplomacy that has proven ineffective" or trust Lebanese authorities who have failed to protect the country.
What did the Israeli army say?
The Israeli military said it intercepted three drones before they could enter the area after sirens sounded in northern Israel. Earlier on Sunday, Hezbollah said it had attacked Israeli soldiers inside Lebanon as well as rescue teams that had come to evacuate them.
