News Topical, Digital Desk : US President Donald Trump has suffered a major setback ahead of the Gaza Peace Board meeting. The Gaza Peace Board meeting is scheduled for February 19th, but several countries have declined to attend.
Donald Trump had invited approximately 60 countries to attend the meeting. However, several major countries, including France, Germany, Britain, Italy, and Sweden, have withdrawn from the Gaza Peace Board meeting.
Only three European countries will be included
After major countries like Britain, Italy and France walked out of the Gaza Peace Board meeting, many European countries are also distancing themselves from this meeting.
Trump had invited 15 European countries to attend the meeting, but so far only three have agreed to attend: Hungary, Bulgaria, and Kosovo.
With only two days remaining before the Gaza Peace Board meeting begins, Trump's global peace initiative appears to be receiving limited support in Europe.
Trump announced the Board of Peace in late January 2026. The US President says the forum will oversee the reconstruction of Gaza and play a role in resolving global conflicts going forward.
These countries of Asia will be included
Trump has invited Pakistan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kazakhstan among the Asian countries. Pakistan and Indonesia have indicated they will attend the meeting.
Saudi Arabia and the UAE have not yet formally confirmed their participation. India, China, and Japan have not announced their participation.
