According to the police, the murder was not the result of any personal enmity, but rather the horrific result of a love triangle. Haridwar police have arrested the main accused, Intezaar alias Astag, while his brother is reportedly still at large.
The incident occurred on the evening of October 26th, when Aas Mohammad suddenly went missing. The next day, villagers found his body in a sugarcane field near the village. As the police began investigating, the case slowly unfolded into a dangerous tale of love and suspicion.
Called to meet, murdered after drugging
The investigation revealed that the accused, Intezaar, had invited Aas Mohammad to meet him via Instagram. They initially consumed drugs together, but during their conversation, a dispute escalated. Intezaar, enraged, stabbed him with a knife and then summoned his brother to the scene and slit Aas Mohammad's throat. After the murder, the two fled the scene.

Haridwar SSP Pramod Singh Dobal stated that a love triangle and suspicion were the primary motives behind the murder. Intezaar suspected that Aas Mohammad was having an affair with his engaged wife. This suspicion led to this heinous crime. Police have recovered the knife used in the murder and a blood-stained shirt from the accused's possession. Police are continuing to conduct raids in search of the absconding brother.

SSP Dobal stated that the key culprit in the case has been solved, and the second accused will soon be arrested. He also stated that technical evidence and Instagram chats played a crucial role in the investigation, helping the police uncover the true motive behind the murder.
